The second day in New York! Sunday 4/14/13

My second day in New York!!!

Now after getting in early in the morning we decided to sleep in. Which was so nice. I slept better when I went back to bed in the morning. I found out later we slept a extra two hours. It felt great. We got dressed and headed out!
Have a good day! Love and take care of one another!

The 911 Memorial
It is a very nice water fall. It isn't exactly pretty but has pretty parts. It left me wondering and a little empty. I don't think it was because of the reason I was there, I think the structure fits the number of people that perished on that sad day. Then I stated to read the names and I felt so much sadder.

The Survivor Tree. It has a great story and was one of the surviving trees from the original site. It was bare and was nursed back to health until it was strong enough to come back. It was the only tree blooming at the Memorial. It was a beautiful sight.

As I went to the second pool, I started to feel very sad. I took several pictures and then paused for a moment. Then I noticed the rainbow appear. It only stayed for less then a minute, and it was gone. I felt very blessed at that moment.

We tried to make it to the HBO store before it closed at 5pm. It was 3.8 miles from the memorial. It took over a hour and a half to go 3.4 miles. It was crazy! It wasn't just stand still, people were rude and would almost hit your car to try and cut you off. Way worse then LA traffic! I will take LA traffic any day compared to New York.

We ended the day at Buba Gump Restaurant in Time Square
