My Trip to New York Saturday 4/13/13

I had a great trip to New York!!! It was Super Awesome!!!

I had a great breakfast at the hotel and waited to have my friends join me. While I waited I got to watch Patch Adams with Robin Williams. I forgot what a good movie it is, and it set a nice mood for the day. It has some great lessons in it. My friends got there 5 min apart and knew it was meant to happen that way. We headed out! It was nice to sit in the back and look at everything in amazement and happiness. I have always wanted to go to New York and did not know how I would go. I am blessed with an amazing job that lets me travel and see places I would not normally get to see.
Have a good day! Love and take care of one another!

We parked the car and headed out around town. It was slightly cool and very nice out! There was a list of 4 or 5 places that we wanted to see and we got started.

 New York Public Library
This was the first stop. It was such a pretty place. As we walked threw the library I noticed some exhibits. I would have like to stop and look, but we had a list of things to see and it would have to wait for next time. Which was nice and gave me a great reason to come back!

Empire State Building
This was a huge building and very pretty inside. There was a long line but it moved on a regular basis and I didn't notice that we waited a hour to get all the way to the top. It was better not to pay twice as much for the express ticket to the top. It was kind of gusty and cold at the top. I loved that fact that we could walk around to all four sides and take pictures. The sun started to peek threw after a while and I was happy I got some great shots.

I have to say, as we were leaving and taking the six flights, twelve rungs, to the elevator all the way down. As I walked and stated to feel unsettled, I thought 'This is what people saw as they tried to leave the building on 911.' My heart sank.

Nick took me to the largest Macy's in the world. It is quite a huge sight. I am not a big shopper but just looking at the map that read "Phase 1" was very surprising. He took me to see the row of elevators. It was kind of crazy.

We decided to have a great dinner at a nice sit down restaurant. I decided on the fish and chips! It was a nice environment with pretty lines and soft candle light. It made me think of a nice restaurant in Vegas.

Now when my food came to the table I wasn't sure I would like it, but decided to have a open mind and not pass judgement before I tried it. It was very delicious, the potatoes were great. They were crispy outside and soft on the inside.

Now as I turned the corner and saw all the lights my heart light up with all the colors and sights. It was a little overwhelming at first but I wanted to take so many pictures!

We all meet up at Tonic in Time Square. At lease I got to take a picture right before both Hot Toddy drinks feel right in my lap. It was crazy and funny. One drink spilled in my lap and then my drink was spilled in my lap about four seconds later.

The night was still young, it was technically the next day actually. But we were only block away from Grand Central Terminal, so we went. It was very dim and gave off a nice elegant feel. It was happy to see it at night and very different then the busy afternoon.

We called it a night and headed back to the hotel.
